"Postponed Date": 10:52PM
Jackson and Nadine sat down at a booth at the Caravanserai Cafe. When the waiter walked off, Jackson gave Nadine a smile. "Finally our date is underway. It sucks that your parents bogged you down yesterday. I'm just glad you could get away today. Hopefully your day wasn't too awful yesterday."
Jackson wore a white button up shirt with a bright teal casual waistcoat with silver buttons. He brought a medium navy dress coat with him which he took off when they got inside. Over his legs were well fitting blue jeans with a leather belt. On his feet were dark tan loafers. His hair--usually styled a bit messy-was neater today and a little more out of his face. His usual purple sunglasses were gone, making him look more refined rather than like the teenager he was.

Nadine shook her head. "They like to do that to me at times and it seems like it is always when I have plans. I am really sorry I had to cancel. I was really looking forward to our date. I am just glad it got to take place today."
She smiled brightly as she looked across the table at him. She was just about to ask him what he was going to order when the waitress stepped up to the table.
"Are you ready to order?" she asked them both.
Nadine looked to Jackson once more waiting to see if he was ready or not. She had been to Caravanserai before so she already knew what she wanted.

Jackson nodded with a smile. "Yup. I'm ready. Far be it from me to keep a lady waiting." He nodded to her for her to order first. "After you."
Nadine smiled and looked to the waitress once more. "A blueberry muffin and a Mocha cappuccino with a touch of cream."
The waitress nodded and when she turned to Jackson he said with a smile. "I think I'll go for the lunch menu. A bowl of chicken soup with half of a turkey bacon cobb sandwich and a cup of iced lemon tea. Sweetened." He turned back to Nadine and shrugged. "I know it's suicide to eat hot soup in the Spring, but I love their soup here. It's got this comforting aroma to it."

Nadine chuckled shaking her head. "You're eating it so order what you want." She handed her and Jackson's menu to the waitress as she then turned and left them to their own.
"So Jackson," Nadine started as she folded her hands together in front of her, her elbows resting to the table as she rested her chin across the tops of her hands. "Tell me a little about you, other than school. Have you ever had a girlfriend?"

"I've had a few through out high school. Not a copious amount, but enough to know what I like and what I don't like. Both romantically and... sexually."
He laughed when Nadine got a look on her face that was both surprised and amused. He leaned his head on his hand and smiled at her while he talked. "Some of my past girlfriends were really good. Some not so good. A couple left me thinking 'what the hell did I see in them?' My last really good relationship ended when she decided to go out of the country for college. We still talk, and we like each other, but there's no romance anymore. In fact, she found someone else not long after she got to Paris. Some 'heartthrob' French guy who pretty much swept her off her feet."
When the waitress swung by again with the usual glasses of water, Jackson swirled his finger around on the condensation on the glass of cold water. "I knew she was like that--into white knight types and fairy tale romances--so I wasn't upset or hurt. Maybe a slight bit jealous. But hey, I knew there were plenty of other fish in the sea." He smiled at her. "I found you, after all."

"Oh?" Nadine sat up her hands lowering to the table. "Am I something special?" She smiled coyly at him as she slid her glass over in front of her the waitress sat down on the table.
She lifted the glass looking over the top of it at him and chuckled softly. "Though, I did had a few boyfriends that thought is was the end of the world when I broke it off with them." She took a sip of her water as she heard Jackson chuckle lightly, lowering her glass she spoke again.
"So what part of the relationship do you like best?"

"Hmm," Jackson hummed as he thought. He swirled the straw around, spinning the ice cubes in the glass. "A lot of people say the dating phase or the sex--which is good too-but the best part to me is getting to know the person and then when you realize you're one of the few people who know them so well. That is if they're really interested in you enough to get to know you. I can usually tell when girls either want a relationship or a one night stand. I try my best to stay away from one night stands. Not a lot of good can come from that."
He sipped his water and curled his hands around the glass. "Nope, my favorite thing about a relationship is the relationship itself. Doing things with your significant other. Enjoying each other's company. I suppose a lot of other guys would roll their eyes and say I'm lying. Or say that I'm just trying to get into your pants." He tilted his head at her. "What about you? What's your favorite part?"

Nadine nodded, "I like the intimacy," she paused when he gave her a questioning look, she chuckled softly.
"Yes, like you I do like the sexual part of a relationship, but that comes much later in my book. I like to get to know a person well enough to know I am not just a booty call. I like the hand holding, hugging, cuddling kissing and just being around the person."
She watched him tip his glass as she then asked him. "Ever kill anyone?" She started laughing when Jackson did a spit take on the table, then grabbed up a handful of napkins to clean it up. "What?!" She continued to chuckle as she helped him, "its a legitimate question. You never know nowadays."

Jackson coughed as he cleaned up the mess and looked at her wide eyed. "Is there something I should know about you?" She giggled and shook her head. He had to chuckle at her. She really was something else. "No, I've never killed anyone. Killed them with kindness maybe. I've definitely pissed off a lot of people by being unexpectedly nice to them when they're trying to give me shit about something. Most likely my fashion sense or my interests. I've definitely pissed off a lot of guys who tried to insult me by asking if I was gay."
He laughed at the memory of it. "My response is usually, 'no but for you baby I might be,'" Jackson grinned. "That shuts them up real quick."

She chuckled, "I bet it does. Though I am surprised you don't have a broken nose." She collected the napkins and set them at the end of the table for the waitress to collect when she came by.
"So if you never killed anyone then I guess I don't have to worry about you being the bad boy type or at least the type that has any kind of a record." She shook her head. "Sorry for the hardcore questions, but if we do start dating on a regular bases," her eyes rolled with a sigh, "my dad will do a background check on you."

Jackson looked at her long and hard, a look of bafflement and disbelief crossing his face. "I'm sorry, what?"
"Well...see... the thing is... my Uncle is kinda... the Commissioner of the Police Department, and has made my dad really paranoid."
"I... see..." Jackson blinked. He chuckled sheepishly. "In that case, I'll have to remember to be a good citizen if I want to continue dating you. And believe me I do."

Nadine smiled shyly at him when he told her he wanted to continue to date her. "I feel the same way. I mean...I want to see you again--date you again -- and hopefully -- maybe -- take it beyond dating." She told him sheepishly as her cheeks flushed slightly.
She liked Jackson that she could not deny, just from their first meeting Friday the two hit it off wonderfully, and after she finished with everything Saturday she called him and the two talked for a bit then as well. This was defiantly a guy she was very interested in and she did not want anything to mess it up.

Jackson nodded with a wide, bright smile on his face. "The feeling is completely mutual. I definitely want to get to know you more and take it beyond that. Talking with you and hanging out with you is so... effortless. Easy. I haven't dated anyone that was this much fun to hang out with since... well, ever." He laughed. "You're the only woman I've connected with so well."

"I do have to agree with you there. Most guy I meet want to get me into bed and then disappear, and the ones that stick around are always grabbing something on my body in public that they shouldn't be."
You could visibly see the anger on her face just thinking about it. "Ughh! Some guys are just so immature and don't know when keep their hands to themselves. It can be so annoying."
